Whether or not you believe in Armageddon most people can agree that they see hard times ahead. Now to correct some misinformation stated about the Bible, there is no "Battle of Armageddon" mentioned nor does it state that you will be saved afterwards. Armageddon isn't mentioned by name at all in the Old Testament, in fact, it is referred to as The War of Gog and Magog. And no matter if you want to be condescending a compelling case can be made that the War of Gog and Magog is imminent. The War of Gog and Magog describes and alliance between a host of nations, predominantly Russia and Iran, and their attempt to annihilate Israel. (Definitely not hard to imagine.) For further information read "Epicenter" by Joel Rosenberg. Armageddon as described by the New Testament is a 7 year "Tribulation" proceeded by the "Rapture", in which all of Christ's loyal followers will be removed from Earth so as to not have to endure the suffering experienced during the "Tribulation". The end of the "Tribulation" is marked by Jesus' return to Earth for a 1000 year reign of peace, in which the followers of Christ are allowed to remain, and the adversaries of Christ are condemned to Hell. Are these beliefs completely biased toward the faiths that inspired them? Hell yeah. Does it mean that they are completely false? Who knows...they don't have to be mutually exclusive. Will it hurt anyone to learn about each of these beliefs? Absolutely not.
